Seed Family & Community engagement programs seek to foster a better connection between self-awareness and honor toward others that is instrumental to the building of stronger community relationships.
Seed staff work with families through parent academies and other outreach efforts to learn strategies and skills that can foster better intergenerational communication skills.
Our community listening circles are safe spaces for community members to listen to each other, and reflect critically on personal and collective choices and experiences.
These community listening circles also include interactive activities about challenging topics that offer participants alternative means of discussing topics which they may be uncomfortable, uncertain and unclear on how to discuss in an open space.
The Seed Family & Community Engagement Process focuses on offering parents and youth experiences that utilize community service, community dialogue or other civic engagement activities to foster moments of reflection and to develop opportunities that meet local community goals and needs.
The Seed Program staff helps communities develop locally and culturally tailored plans, implement these plans, and assess the projects to determine their impact on the goals and needs of the community.
We are looking for partnerships with youth groups, community organizations, parents/guardians and others who work with youth or who are interested in working with youth.
Schedule a time to get more information about how we can work with your youth group, school district or homeschool co-op group.
